An artist has unveiled shocking new works showing Barbie as a victim of domestic abuse. See MASONS story MNBARBIE: The series, called Itâs A Matter Of Trust, has been created by Sam Humphreys, 41, and runs with the tagline âWe shouldnât be taught that life is perfect.â Ms Humphreys, who is currently studying for a degree in Contemporary Art and Design, said she wants the work to show the difference between how children view the world and its much dark realities. She said: âI was interested in how, when weâre younger, weâre led to believe that everything is perfect and how as children weâre, quite rightly, sheltered from the harsh realities of adulthood.
